Modelling and Nonlinear Control of a Magnetically Coupled Multiport DC-DC Converter for Automotive Applications

This work presents a nonlinear control strategy for magnetically coupled multiport dc-dc converter aimed at automotive applications. First, behavioural dynamic model, based on averaging the power flowing among ports, is derived. Then, algorithm, feedback linearization techniques, proposed. Essentially, controller ensures decoupling and linear behaviour thanks to transformation of state variables, conventional PI action devised render asymptotic stability, as well robustness load uncertainties. The inversion transformation, which involves terms, carried out using approximations with no significant performance decay. Hence, simplicity efficiency are main features design. proposed validated via experimental results.
